Michael digs out his phone to leave Luke a text about where they are, cementing the fact that they'll behave (maybe it's for Luke, maybe it's for himself) and then he crawls up into the truck's bed, taking his time to test the weight, the feel, and realize this really is his truck.
He leans over to take the trailer hitch off, knowing he'll need to move the Airstream out to the side, but for now, he waits until he sees Alex returning. "C'mere," he encourages, heart pounding as he thinks about those days, twelve years ago, when they did this.
