littleorphanalienMichael hasn't moved from the bed in days.
Other people have come in to join him. He hasn't been alone or lonely. In fact, he's felt more loved in the last few days than he has in years, but it doesn't mean he's better. He's still so scared and he hasn't been able to sleep or talk. He's worried sick about Alex and can't bring himself to ask about him. So instead he lies there, with his greasy curls, and his lack of energy, and his fear.
He doesn't go into work. He lies there and prods the scar, wondering what it would be if they kept going with the full autopsy. Then he'd look like Rosa, someone he killed.
He lies there and thinks about how he couldn't heal Alex. He thinks about how his powers had been taken from him. He thinks about a full two days trapped and scared to death they were going to make good on their promise to go back and kidnap Alex to make Michael do anything, or take Bopp. He's just scared and he's tired of it, but even his anger (which is usually right at hand) is slow to come.
So instead, he lies in bed, and he cries and he knows that it'll be a while before he's better.
