This alien's got a lot of plot coming in the immediate future. Starting back when his item arrived, unbeknownst to Michael, he's been garnering a lot of attention in the form of people following him. He hasn't really paid attention, because he's been busy figuring things out with Alex and becoming an older brother to Caleb and also figuring out that he trusts Luke enough to tell him his secret.
Then, on New Years, his frantic panic made him a little too liberal with his use of powers, which means the government agency that's been keeping an eye on him is now sure that he's something else. As a result, Michael is going to get kidnapped around the 12th, and go missing for approximately two days, kept in a lab in the middle of Darrow. The agency will not have a name, nor a banner, nor a badge. He'll be in an office building with no signs, no anything, but for two days they'll be testing him, and on the third day (when I post), he will be mid-dissection.
Which is when I am hoping that he will be rescued, but I will keep it an open post so everyone can come for him.
In less traumatic news, he proposed to Alex on New Years, so he's engaged. The abduction is going to send him into a wild tailspin of emotions and acetone-reliance, so he definitely won't be talking wedding anytime soon, but he will actually be happy. He and Alex are also in the process of offering Luke a room at their place. Michael's told Luke the truth and while he's nervous about fucking a kid up, he also knows better than to leave a kid like that in a group home without an option, so he's done up a spare bedroom as a kid's room and they will offer it to Luke as much as he wants.
There are other potential fathering/family things for Michael down the line, but first and foremost, it's time for the alien to get abducted and more people to learn his secret!
Taking a little more of a backseat just as I wait for new canon, but obviously the time difference between him and David is still one of the biggest things for him. He's constantly trying not to push, but the fact that he wants to be engaged again is always sort of in the back of his mind and he visits David's engagement rings weekly.
When the weather gets nicer, he will absolutely be joining more sports teams and auditioning for things, in between helping to get the store set up again. There will be a complete relief for him in having a store again, if only that he understands that business and the event planning stressed him out in making him feel like a failure.
Also, he's getting a dog at some point, and I know he definitely wants a medium dog, so maybe shetland sheepdog or brittany breed, or english springer spaniel.
FUTURE: Not right now, but maybe. I have a lot of fic I still want to write, but once those ideas have dried out, then maybe!
